New homes for TEEAL through Rockefeller Foundation fundingThe Rockefeller Foundation through a grant helped 8 institutions in Sub Saharan Africa to either acquire a new set of TEEAL or update their TEEAL collection. Ever since its launch in 1999, TEEAL has played a major role in agricultural research in Africa by availing current literature to researchers in different parts ofAfrica. Rockefeller Foundation has been a key partner in the development of the program and its distribution to deserving institutions particularly in Sub-Sahara Africa. The following institutions benefited from the recent grant, Moi University, Kenyatta University and University of Nairobi of Kenya, Chitedze Research Station of Zambia; Agricultural Research and Extension (ARET) of Malawi, the Ministry of Agriculture of Mozambique; Institut des Sciences Agronomiques du Rwanda (ISAR), and University of Zambia. Of the 8 beneficiaries, 5 got new TEEAL sets and 3 got TEEAL Updates. ITOCA and the whole TEEAL family would like to congratulate these institutions on this award and hope that this resource will go a long way in meeting their organizational goals through access to current agricultural information.
